Photoshop process of the image: clipped an article from the El Paso Times, used a scanner to upload he article to the computer, opened the image using photoshop, added background color, finally I used the gradent tool to display only the words I wanted the reader to read.. The inspiration of the image overlay with the color green comes from a book titled, "A Humument," composed by Tom Philips. Requirement of the project was to use symbolism in order to display the violent treatment of women across la frenta (the dismemberment of their bodies). The words under the color represents the women's silence voices which cry out STOP! Over more than 400 women were murdered in Juarez during the years of 1998-2002.....
